War and hardships often bring about sufferings and tragedy among other things. At the same time, looking at Mizo history, they can also beget profound bravery, selflessness, self-sacrifice, as well as the willingness to sacrifice one’s life for the cause of the land. This panel is created to honour those that have undergone such hard times and braved them with unwavering courage. We must always remember that it is in no small amount owing to their selfless sacrifice that we the Mizos have a land to call our own and a culture to claim as ours.
