Lalchungnunga

Lalchungnunga is the King of the Lasi (forest spirits), whom they serve and obey. Based on the traditional descriptions of the child he fathered with Chawngtinleri, he is believed and imagined to possess features resembling those of a goat. In his quest to win Chawngtinleri, he frequently appeared in the dreams of her brother, Lianchea, to ask for her hand. As a bride price, he even promised to allow Lianchea to hunt the legendary Nghalphusen (the Great Red Boar). When his wife, Chawngtinleri, inadvertently revealed the true physical nature of the spirits to mankind, Lalchungnunga turned her eyes vertically. This act serves as a testament to the immense supernatural power he wielded. [There is not much more to be said about him individually, as much of his story was already covered in the narrative of Chawngtinleri and does not require repetition here.]
