Mizo folklore and folktales are deeply intertwined with the landscape of the misty rolling hills, the ancient rhythms of jhum (shifting cultivation), and the community-centric life of the traditional village. Passed down orally through generations, these stories bridge the gap between the physical world and a vibrant, unseen realm of spirits, mythical heroes, and deep moral lessons. Out of the many traditional Mizo folk tales, 21 selected stories have been chosen for the Storytelling and Cosplay Show at the Falkawn Living Museum.
