Nghalphusen (The Great Red Boar)

The Nghalphusen is often spoken of as the personal "boar" (or prized livestock) of Chawngtinleri. Because of its supernatural nature, it is incredibly difficult to hunt; it is said to be guarded by the Tlip and Vaihmi (minor forest spirits or supernatural attendants). Unless the Lasi specifically herd the boar toward a hunter to be killed, it is impossible to encounter. Even when they do intentionally drive it toward a person, it is by no means an easy target. Despite the Lasi herding it toward him three separate times, Lianchea (Chawngtinleri’s brother) failed to make the kill and ultimately lost his chance forever.
